The first bottling from Vintage Bottlers' The Secret Series, a range of independently bottled single malts which each explore a different Scotch whisky producing region. This particular edition comes from a Highland distillery (though the identity of said distillery is aptly a secret). It was aged for 30 years, and eventually drawn from sherry casks before being bottled at 47.5% ABV.
Almonds, chocolate peanuts, orange peel, polished oak, coconut ice, and mahogany.
Gingerbread, apricot, poached pear, malt, a hint of red liquorice, and peppercorn.
Warming cedar and more chocolatey hints, as well as Brazil nut and heather honey.
