This Ledaig 12 Year Old is a peated single malt Scotch whisky distilled by Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, and bottled by Brave New Spirits as part of its Rebels - The Guerilla Casks range, which highlights all the weird and wonderful things going on in maturation and finishing. This single-cask Highland whisky makes the perfect addition to the range, as it matured for 12 years in a first fill Maderia wine barrique, which ensures big helpings of fruit and spice. Non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, with a yield of 263 bottles at 51.5% ABV.
Meaty smoke with warm candied nuts, and touch of grassy herbs.
Balanced, with sweet dried fruits, pears, peppery spice, and BBQ smoke.
Pleasant smoke lingers, with those fruit notes from the Madeira alongside.
