The creation of master blender Alex Thomas, The Sexton Single Malt Irish whiskey is made from 100% Irish malted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills. After, the liquid is aged in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks imparting a rich and fruity character. It comes in a rather eye-catching hexagonal bottle, too.
Rich aromas of nuts, marzipan and dark chocolate with a pinch of spice.
Dried fruit followed by honeycomb sweetness, apricots, lemon zest, prunes and oak spice.
Woody on the finish, with honeyed sweetness coming through.

Some comments say it's horrible and some say it's really good. I am an optimist and didn't want to give in to the "nay sayers" and bought the bottle. It was a mistake and €33 I'll never get back!! Some guy in the review section claims that if you think this whiskey is bad you are an idiot. I really pity that guy, cos he clearly never drank a good whiskey. In brief, I wasn't expecting anything on a level of a 12 year old, but still being a single malt I was expecting some quality. Let me tell you this is one of the worst whiskey I have ever drank. It does a good initial flavour (of a single malt) and also very rich dark brown colour. But there is immediate a weird after taste. The whiskey is very harsh as well, and I often drink neat spirits straight up. I had a few glasses of this and don't even want to touch it, it's such low quality! Mixed with water is drinkable but it overall flavour is just dire! Expect a Lidl/Aldi cheap whiskey level of quality with this product! But at least I have a fancy bottle!
I'm a scotch drinker, and have occasionally tried some Irish whiskeys. This one really impressed me, and reminds me of single malt Scotch whisky. Here in GA I've found it around $26, which is an amazing value. Sweet and fruity, a little spicy.
One of my favourite Irish bottles and a great price

This is rich in sherry, chocolate and liquorice, it's thick and delicious. Burnt sugar and caramels mixed with fruits - it is incredible value for such a mouth filling amount of flavour
