The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.
Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.
Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.
Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.

I just love it ?, tastes like no other. It’s smoothness is remarkable, and that amazing smell - my favorite! It let me dream of going to Scotland, visiting this beautiful country and the distillery of Sassenach Whiskey ??.
Delicious and smoooooth... I had high hopes and The Sassenach exceeded them at every turn. So easy to drink and disappears way too fast. Tonight I will enjoy the last dram from my first bottle, then comes the tough decision whether to treasure and keep my second bottle sealed, or enjoy every drop I have... or just order another ? Thank you Master of Malt for delivering to Australia ?? ?and thank you Sam for a stunning product in every regard.
Soo smooth.. I can’t wait till it’s available again
I finally received my first bottle of Sam’s creation and it was everything it claimed to be. I’m a single malt drinker but have to admit the Sassenach was smooth and delicious on my palate. I’ve only had a small sip but hints of vanilla and cinnamon were detected. I’m waiting until I can purchase some other ingredients mentioned in his recipes before I actually treat myself to real dram. Packaging was beautiful as well as the bottle itself and it managed to get all the way to Texas without a hitch. Overall, well done Sam!
Just received my second bottle of Sassenach Whisky from Master of Malt. Like the first, this one will be savoured slowly. It’s almost too easy to drink - the nose and palate are treated well. I will be back for more. Hopefully, it’ll still be available. I think next time I’ll revisit my favourite peaty whiskies - for comparison’s sake of course ?
