The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.
Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.

This is a terrible whisky. Basic grain taste and none of the notes described. Very disappointing.

I was really interested to taste the Sassenach Whisky, as I could see it was getting many awards. I’ve never been a whisky drinker, more of a gin girl, but after seeing a good deal on Black Friday, I couldn’t resist. I tried many other drams of whisky to compare, but this was far more tolerable to my new palate to whisky. Bravo, it’s definitely got my vote.
Lovely bottle of whiskey that has a nice smooth finish. Smells good too. Would definitely buy it again. I do wish it was available in NZ though as once the taxes & shipping are added it becomes an expensive bottle.
For whiskey lovers, undoubtedly very well done! Flavors, bottle and presentation, wow! A wonder for any occasion.
