A blended Irish whiskey from The Quiet Man range (not named after the John Wayne film, but rather after the father of the brand owner - he was a bartender who heard many stories during his time behind the bar but told no tales). Before bottling, the whiskey is finished in first-fill bourbon barrels.
Icing sugar, fresh tropical fruit, green banana and honey.
Creamy vanilla, toasted cereals, more honey, marmalade.
Faint spiciness of cinnamon and peppery oak.

Just picked up my first bottle. Definitely one of the smoothest whiskeys. I’ve had the pleasure to drink.
a good choice for regular nipping I would not call it harsh at all like some have reviewed. One thinks this is a scotch..Hmm.. Mine was light and smooth in finishing and way playful with the palate. Just a very good one that is in the good price category. I prefer this to the same price point Jamo's just a tad better.
Real balanced taste. One of the best Whiskeys I have ever tasted!
I have been enjoying rye lately but bought this on a whim -- Irish not normally my thing. Has definite character of Irish whisky but is generally smoother than most, quite a relaxing and pleasing sip. Just enough bite tp make it interesting.
It was definitely a pleasant suprise. I found it far more pleasing than Jamieson. I did find the nose icing like and fruity. I could not find the banana note but easily found the honey. On the palate I found the typical Irish Whiskey flavors of butter buscit(cookies) Then that Bourbon vanilla hints in the backround. I found the finish to be peppery and spicy(mostly cinnamon). I would call it a short to medium finish. I do wish that it had a longer finish because I really enjoy the spicy and peppery finish.
