A particularly spectacular Speyside single malt from Macallan, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for its Xtra Old Particular The Black Series! Distilled in May 1990, this expression spent 31 years maturing, including a finishing period in a sherry hogshead. The cask was finally opened in December 2021, yielding an outturn of 174 bottles.
