A rather snazzy Macallan here from the distillery's Exceptional Single Cask series, matured for 16 years in a European oak sherry hogshead from March 2002 to May 2018 - selected by Macallan whisky maker Sarah Burgess. It was bottled up at 57.8% ABV with an outturn of only 283 bottles. Macallan reserves this series for truly incredible expressions, so we expect this one to be particularly fantastic indeed.
Caramel, Muscavado sugar, rich dried fruit, ginger, nutmeg, oak, chooclate orange, raisins, soft oak.
Dried fruit, rich fruits, wood spice, ginger.
