Originally released for the Travel Retail market, the Master Distiller's Reserve Small Batch from Glenlivet is made with specially selected casks, including first-fill ex-Sherry casks, first-fill American oak casks and traditional oak casks.

Chocolate and sultana from the Sherry casks, surrounded by layers of Seville orange marmalade and Custard Creams.
Fresh oak spice, more raisin and orange, oily barley.

Stunning, absolutely georgeous
Buttery and fruity nose, like fruitcake. Palate started with fruit notes, then oakiness slowly show up. Finish is long and have an interesting aroma which I can't pinpoint. Overall a smooth and elegant whisky. Although it may lack some complexity.
Absolutely amazing smooth bottle
Just bought a bottle (from batch 1). I tasted a drink from batch 2. This is one of my favourite whiskies. Elegant, smooth, warm and sophisticated. A very high quality dram. One of the best
Soft, creamy nose with a smooth oak body and appropriately lingering, subtle fruit finish. No real bitterness, not too smoky. Overall an excellent whiskey that I will buy again!
