34 year old Glenlivet single malt Scotch whisky, drawn from a single hogshead cask. It was distilled in November 1981 and set aside to age until the chaps from Signatory came along and bottled it up for their Cask Strength Collection. Only 249 bottles were produced.
Varnished oak furniture, apple turnovers with a good dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg, layers of honey and golden syrup.
Cigar box dustiness at first, shortly followed by a burst of orchard fruit and honeycomb.
White chocolate, cedar, apricot jam.
