A cracking single malt from Glenlivet, distilled in 2006 and matured for 15 years between 2006 and 2022 in a single first-fill sherry butt. That cask was selected by the clever gang at independent bottler Signatory, who cracked it open to release an outturn of 603 bottles for the Cask Strength Collection.
Plump raisins with silky honey, nutty malt, and crisp, green apples.
Sherry soaked fruit galore! Plenty of dried prunes, candied ginger, and caramelised nuts with dusty cocoa bitterness and liquorice resting subtly beneath.
Earthy coffee builds towards the finish with more dark chocolate and spiced, baked fruit.
