This is the second cask strength batch of Glasgow 1770 - Peated single malt from the Glasgow distillery. It's a marriage of three hogshead casks of the double distilled whisky, made with barley that has been peated to 50ppm, presented at a robust 60.7% ABV, and limited to 1,000 bottles.
Layers of smoky, meaty malt, with notes of barbecue sauce, pipe tobacco, and dark poached fruits.
Juicy notes of barbecued pineapple, flamed orange, and rich smoke lead to roasty coffee, smoked almonds, and prunes.
Chocolate raisins, sweet, earthy peat, and rich oak char.
