Here is the second batch of Dingle Single Malt whiskey, distilled in the town of Dingle (the only town on the Dingle Peninsula) in the south-west of Ireland. This expression was drawn from a trio of casks - bourbon casks, Oloroso Sherry casks and Pedro Ximenéz casks. Just like the first batch, these bottled aren't likely to stick around for long!
Nose: Slightly floral at first, though soon enough you're greeted by toffee, raisin and peppercorn.
Palate: Chocolate buttons, fresh malt and a touch of red wine.
Finish: Allspice, butterscotch and lemongrass.

Really really liked this sherried expression from Dingle, excellent for such a young whiskey. really speaks volumes for the base distillate and quality of the casks selected. Cant wait to see what the future has in store for Dingle

They are not allowed to sell it at the Dingle factory so I went to Galway and found 2 bottles in the McCambridges store on Shop Street. I also purchased 2 Yellow Spot, I have them all now back in Canada. I have had drank some Yellow Spot and it is really fine so if the Dingle is even better, then I am looking forward to some delicious evenings ahead.

An outstanding whiskey, an opening floral bouquet followed by real whiskey malt and closing with a spicy finish. If you run across this whiskey, buy it immediately as it will not be there tomorrow.

Brilliant long finish! Worth every penny!

Delicious, young, lively Irish whiskey. If they keep this up, their 10 year old and up ages will be astounding!

Great single malt, went to the distillery in Ireland and loved the tour and the whiskey. The 2nd release is hard to come by even in Ireland, flavors are amazing. Smooth to start with a good finish of peppercorn.
