Check out this Oxford single malt from the same folks who brought you IQ Oxford Gin! It's distilled just outside of Oxford and aged in small barrels.
A hint of dry spice, with lemon blossom, fresh malt, digestive biscuits and a touch of caramel.
Citrus returns, with orange milk chocolate, dry oak and heather honey.
Floral malt and lemon shortbread.
Strangely tastes more like a rum than a whisky.
Smells and tastes like a bad overly sweet gin that would have spent a few months in oak, but definitely not like a whisky. All those 2020 and earlier comments saying that it's wonderful are probably fake, because there's no one someone likes that. Unless they're also into overly sugared South America rums with more sugar than there's in any syrup. Stay clear from that "whisky".
this is not whisky. At best it is some sort of liqueur. You realise something is off from the moment you find it has a twist cap (!). Then you smell it, to find it's some repulsive nose of industrial orange air freshener solution and vinegar. Never mind, perhaps the taste is better. Nope, it's a disgusting taste concoction of orange air freshener fluid and vinegar. It was so bad we all thought it was a counterfeit. Avoid like the plague, it's thoroughly rotten.
Had a bottles for Christmas, different but really enjoyable. Not a classic Scotch but something more an English Whisky. I will buy again.
To be fair the tasting notes above mention orange milk chocolate and citrus taste. I hadn't appreciated how orangey it would be though. It tasted closer to a gin, or maybe aged gin & cointreau, than whisky for my taste.
