That Boutique-y Whisky Company got hold of a rather splendid batch of Tennessee bourbon whisky here, releasing it in 700ml bottles to join its collection of Label Editions. The Boutique-y gang aren't able to disclose the distillery that this whisky came from, but they do point to the fact that it is labelled as 'Tennessee Whisky', which is only made by a few producers. Perhaps we should also ask ourselves why they have spelt whisky without an 'e'! Two rather big clues for all the bourbon buffs out there...

That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends, all adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels. The brand won Spirits Bottler of the Year at the 2023 Spirits Business Awards, and Blender of the Year went to Sam Simmons, captain of the Boutique-y clan who oversees every one of these releases.
Rich notes of caramelised brown sugar, toasted oak, and creamy vanilla join cinnamon spiced apples, buttery pastry, and gingersnaps.
Caramelised nuts open the way, with rich layers of buttery oak char leading to earthy notes of vanilla and tobacco.
Cigar box spice, a hint of sweet maple syrup, oaken vanilla, and ginger.
