That Boutique-y Whisky Company

Campbeltown 8 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)

In the desolate aftermath of a celestial cataclysm, where the heavens themselves rained fire and brimstone upon the Earth, emerges a whisky that defies the very fabric of time and space. From the scorched landscapes of the Campbeltown region, a region once lush and alive, arises an 8-year-old teaspooned Scotch whisky that has weathered the cosmic storm and embraced the chaos, nurtured in the bellies of first-fill bourbon barrels.

Adorned with the ominous spectacle of a meteor strike on its label, this whisky was bottled for the End of the World series by the fearless alchemists at That Boutique-y Whisky Company, renowned for their audacious pursuit of the extraordinary in even the most cosmic of calamities. A dram for those who seek the sublime in the aftermath of chaos.

Batch 4 is a release of 454 bottles.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends, all adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels. The brand won Spirits Bottler of the Year at the 2023 Spirits Business Awards, and Blender of the Year went to Sam Simmons, captain of the Boutique-y clan who oversees every one of these releases.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Crisp apple and biscuity malt cushion soft waves of oily, coastal smoke. Preserved lemon and black pepper follow, with hints of floral garden herbs.

Palate

Big rich layers of roasted barley and toasted oats join cider apples and subtly tarry smoke.

Finish

Charred oak, barky cinnamon, a touch of clove, stewed tea, and dried herbs.
