Single Malt
A wonderfully well-sherried single malt from the Tamnavulin Distillery, which begins its life in American oak barrels before being finished in three different types of sherry casks! Three of 'em! Shouldn't come as a surprise, but if you're a fan of all those Christmas cakey, chocolatey, red berry-y notes, you'll probably be into this one from the Speyside-based distillery.
Brown sugar, gingersnaps and cinnamon rolls, raspberry jam and a hint of toasted malt.
Cadbury's Fruit & Nut, more pastry notes, honeycomb and Christmas cake.
Dried apricot, citrus peels and vanilla pod.

Very very easy-drinking - a gentle dram with a gentler finish. People have said bland - I’d just call it easy-drinking really. I can’t detect any of the harshness referred to by others, but I also would agree that the sherry casks angle is a little understated. Summary: jolly nice, I’m halfway theough the bottle after 2 evenings by the firepit, I’d give it 4 stars, but seeing as the price is soooo reasonable I’ll give it 5.
Hmmm, considering this is the Sherry Edition, finished in 3 types of Sherry Cask I expected a bit more. I find a lack of flavour and character. It's sweet, fruity, light, and inoffensive, but, it's almost a liqueur, it dosn't really seem to be a Whisky. Would go well with a slice of xmas cake, but I prefer the more rounded double cask.
I have thoroughly tasted it and the Sherry flavour is very apparent but not overpowering, it brings with it an appetizing nose. I wouldn't say it is the best whisky I have tasted but I would definitely buy it again, in fact I have. I think it's best with about 2 teaspoons of water, which slightly mellows it and brings out the flavour
One of the best whiskey I’ve ever tasted! Perfect in every way! And when you sipped - astonishing!???
Nose: Reminiscent of methylated spirits Palate: Awful Aftertaste: Harsh. Very poor whisky: Should be banned: danger of giving Speyside a bad name
