The fourth release in Douglas Laing's Provenance Coastal Collection is a terrific Talisker single malt from the isle of Skye! This one was distilled in November 2009 and left to age for 8 years in a single refill hogshead, then bottled in October 2018 with an outturn of 319 bottles.
Sea air, oatcakes and just a touch of white chocolate fudge.
Enjoyably salty, balanced by soft caramel and honey. A good kick of dry oak spice develops.
Lasting smoke, buttered soda bread, marmalade.
