A single malt Scotch whisky from the terrific Talisker Distillery, independently bottled up by Douglas Laing. This one spent 12 years maturing in a single refill hogshead, from 2009 t0 2022, and then it was bottled up for the Old Particular series with an outturn of 355 bottles.
Liquorice, charred oak, and fresh mango.
Nutty malt leading into vanilla and honey, with sea salt building in the background.
Fruitier on the finish, with pear and strawberry. Still has the classic Talisker salinity.
