A blended whisky from The House of Suntory's three distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Toki has a different composition to another Suntory blend, Hibiki, as its main components are Hakashu single malt and Chita grain whisky. It should work really well in a highball.
Fun fact: 'Toki' means 'time' in Japanese.
Soft orchard fruits and thyme honey are joined by a helping of peppermint in the backdrop.
More green apple on the palate leads along bright citrus notes from pink grapefruit. Bitter herbs, toasted almonds and vanilla oak linger underneath.
White pepper and ginger add spice to the finish.
Bought for a whisky lover as something a bit different and it went down a treat. A lovely smooth drink with a generous body and great aftertaste. This will definitely be bought again.
I'm not a whisky conasuier but I have tried a few, so here's my review. This Toki Suntory whisky is Smooth and mild, not peaty or too smokey. A great whisky for beginners. Very easy drinking. It's strong so we added ice to bring out the flavour.
When it comes to Japanese whisky, subtlety and artistry take center stage. Suntory Toki embodies this spirit beautifully. Medium-bodied, Toki delivers a honeyed sweetness with a subdued tongue burn. Vanilla and coconut play harmoniously, while a ghostly oakiness lingers.
This is a lovely blended whisky and quite different to other ones I have tried. I really like the warmth and smokiness Toki Suntory provides - and the bottle shape is a bonus, too!
This is a very pleasant blended whiskey. Very pale in colour. I usually prefer single malt, but have enjoyed this one. Smooth and easy to drink, although perhaps lacking depth of flavour a bit.
