A blended whisky from The House of Suntory's three distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Toki has a different composition to another Suntory blend, Hibiki, as its main components are Hakashu single malt and Chita grain whisky. It should work really well in a highball.
Fun fact: 'Toki' means 'time' in Japanese.
Soft orchard fruits and thyme honey are joined by a helping of peppermint in the backdrop.
More green apple on the palate leads along bright citrus notes from pink grapefruit. Bitter herbs, toasted almonds and vanilla oak linger underneath.
White pepper and ginger add spice to the finish.

Excellent. Smooth. They recommend to try ina tall glass with soda water which i was doubtful to start with but it was actually really tasty.
A true favourite in this house, my partner's favourite whiskey and reasonably priced too. I'm not a huge whiskey drinker and even I find it quite enjoyable, so probably a great introduction to Japanese whiskey too.
Wow, what a whiskey. So well balanced and crafted. Drunk neat it's pillow soft and honey sweet but unlike/opposite to many whiskeys that sweetness is greatly diminished when ice or water is added, and it turns dry. How do they do that? I've no idea but it's worth knowing - depending on how you like to drink whiskey you'll get a very different experience.
This is a very nice blend with delicate layers. I enjoyed it neat in a highball which was quite enjoyable.
Typical Japanese blend. very fresh and floral, sweet citrus and vanilla on top. Perfect to initiate your mates to the japanese blend at a very fare price. They usually like it a lot !
