A blended whisky from The House of Suntory's three distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Toki has a different composition to another Suntory blend, Hibiki, as its main components are Hakashu single malt and Chita grain whisky. It should work really well in a highball.
Fun fact: 'Toki' means 'time' in Japanese.
Soft orchard fruits and thyme honey are joined by a helping of peppermint in the backdrop.
More green apple on the palate leads along bright citrus notes from pink grapefruit. Bitter herbs, toasted almonds and vanilla oak linger underneath.
White pepper and ginger add spice to the finish.

I don't understand how this is on sale for this price, it is sublime tasting, and certainly the best blended whiskey I have had, this is a must, very easy to drink, not heavy but light and refreshing with a good spicy after taste that is not overpowering. well done to Suntory for this at that price..
Further to my previous comments (10th September); this whisky improved considerably after several weeks of oxidisation. On first acquaintance I disliked it so much I put the opened bottle back in the cupboard. Upon trying again I find the astringency has diminished and a faint honey sweetness seems to have developed. Still not sure I would buy it again, but I now consider it worth another star.
I didn’t care very much for this and thought it was rather unpleasant. It feels very thin and astringent in the mouth. Not at all succulent. I thought the little bit of taste that it did have was vaguely reminiscent of farm made Calvados and very slightly of marzipan (which I dislike). I shan’t be buying it again.
It is a nice siping whiskey. I find it to be smooth and with a nice after.
Pleasantly surprised, sweet and smoky. For the price you cannot complain. Normally I stick with Nikka Days & From the Barrel but quite enjoyed this tipple.
