A blended whisky from The House of Suntory's three distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Toki has a different composition to another Suntory blend, Hibiki, as its main components are Hakashu single malt and Chita grain whisky. It should work really well in a highball.
Fun fact: 'Toki' means 'time' in Japanese.
Soft orchard fruits and thyme honey are joined by a helping of peppermint in the backdrop.
More green apple on the palate leads along bright citrus notes from pink grapefruit. Bitter herbs, toasted almonds and vanilla oak linger underneath.
White pepper and ginger add spice to the finish.
First time I had Japanese blend. What can I say top notch you can't argue with the price 10/10.Great find at £32.
Good whisky, vanilla fruitiness with a buttery note and a tad gluey on the background because of the young age. That doesn't matter though, it's overall quite good.
Simple too expensive for what it is. I have received it on two occasions as a gift, I just hope they purchased it on offer as at the full price point there’s far better integrity malts out there. It’s a light-weight, inoffensive, overly sweet whiskey that instantly forgettable. Spend a few extra quid and treat yourself to a Deanston 12 or Arran 10 . Regrettably not a sipper and far too expensive to drown in Coke . Not awful by any means but a pass for me. Slainte ?
A beautiful summer, daytime whisky. Full of flavour, light in colour. Bargain ?
Very light in colour & full on taste . One of my favourites. Would recommend for any whisky lovers.
