A blended whisky from The House of Suntory's three distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita. Toki has a different composition to another Suntory blend, Hibiki, as its main components are Hakashu single malt and Chita grain whisky. It should work really well in a highball.
Fun fact: 'Toki' means 'time' in Japanese.
Soft orchard fruits and thyme honey are joined by a helping of peppermint in the backdrop.
More green apple on the palate leads along bright citrus notes from pink grapefruit. Bitter herbs, toasted almonds and vanilla oak linger underneath.
White pepper and ginger add spice to the finish.
I'm not a whisky drinker but I do enjoy this brand as it was smooth and mild. Very easy to drink. Reasonably priced with good quality.
I think I have never before drank so strong a whisky and never Japanese. Taste is completely different from other middle priced whisky. You can feel the strong and sharp taste and very long aftertaste. Very light colour but full of flavour. I tried it with sparkling water and hint of lemon-is lovely. Would recommend to any whisky lover.
I'm not a whisky conasuier but I have tried a few, so here's my review. This Toki Suntory whisky is Smooth and mild, not peaty or too smokey. A great whisky for beginners. Very easy drinking. It's strong so we added ice to bring out the flavour.
We've wanted to try a Japanese whiskey for so long, this Christmas just gone we treated ourselves, and gosh are we glad! I've never tasted whiskey like it, perfect on rocks, drinks easy and is of exceptional quality. Many thanks!
Absolutely delicious, I was wondering how it taste after it looking so light, but it was delicious slightly peaty but not overpowering, didn’t need nor want water. It’s an absolute must and very much a guilty pleasure
