From the Strathmill Distillery in Speyside comes a beautiful single-cask expression that was distilled back in 2008 and matured for 14 years, including a finish in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez octave. It was bottled at a cask strength of 56.7% with no additional colouring or filtration. A total of just 271 bottles are available from this run.
Some dark fruits, bittersweet chocolate, charred oak, and nutmeg.
Black pepper and rich coffee complement notes of red berries, vanilla, and a little rancio.
Dark chocolate, toasted almonds, and raisins.
