More single cask, single grain delights from Hunter Laing here. The bottler snapped up this 34-year-old corker from Strathclyde for The Sovereign range, which was distilled in 1987 and set aside to age in a refill hogshead for over three decades before being presented completely unadulterated with no additional coloring or filtration at a cask strength 50.7% ABV.
Apples, forests fruits, old oak, and vanilla.
Raspberries drenched in melted dark chocolate, a little cinnamon, and plenty of delicate cereal sweetness.
Long and gentle.
