The English Whisky Co. is back with another release, and this one is Smokey Oak! The small batch peated whisky from St George's Distillery was allowed to rest in bourbon casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV. It's peaty and spicy, a great released from The English Whisky Co. folks.
Cured meat surrounded by thick peat smoke, with a dash of lemon juice livening it up.
More rich peat, paprika, smoke meat, warming root ginger and candied lemon.
The smoke continues into a lengthy, dry finish.

I'd happily drink this daily although not for a special occasion. Somewhat mild, blended taste and not an individual character. It's not punchy and no kick.
