    Single Malt

Springbank 21 Year Old 1995 (cask 11756) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

21 year old single malt from the much-adored Springbank distillery in the Campbeltown region, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Xtra Old Particular range. This was distilled in November 1995 and aged in a refill hogshead until June 2017, when it was bottled with an outturn of 308 bottles - very handsome bottles too, which Douglas Laing redesigned in mid-2017!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Peat kiln aromas fill the nose, with honey'd barley and a crackle of black pepper underneath.

    Palate

Peat sticks around at the tip of the palate, with a lingering hint of chocolate digestives.

    Finish

    Rolos and coastal air.
