An absolutely stunning single cask Springbank, independently bottled by Hunter Laing as part of their Old & Rare Platinum range. This was distilled in October 1996, aged in a Sherry hogshead and bottled 20 years later in November 2016 with an outturn of only 75 bottles.
Damson jam on rye toast, buttery pastry and a touch of cumin powder.
Rich and robust, with plenty of earthy peat shining through layers of thick honey and chocolate spread.
A warming kick of cinnamon, tempered by raisin and red plum.
