Terminado means 'finished' in Spanish, and this edition of Smokehead has been finished in Tequila casks. Geddit? The Islay single malt from an undisclosed distillery is joined by creamy agave notes, citrus, and peppery spice. Cracking stuff.
Earthy peat, with some dark caramel, buttery shortbread, and charred citrus.
Bonfire smoke, toasted marshmallow, grapefruit and lime zest, and some toasted nuts.
The smoke stays, along with some red chilli, and peppery heat.

No bad words to say about this whisky. You get the classic Islay punch in the mouth flavour you’d expect from a bottle like this, plenty of depth on the nose and tastes fab. I’ve always liked the original Smokehead, and this is a very nice upgrade ??
