Single cask Aberlour, we loved cask 101773 - it tasted like pure honey, so this new release is sure to be a stunner. Distilled on the 2nd October 1990 and aged for 19 years in hogshead number 101774 before bottling on the 7th April 2010 by Signatory as part of a release of 252 individually numbered, cask strength bottles.
Good cask from Signatory
Packs a punch! I had to dilute this with some water before I could get a feel for any of the flavour. Once diluted it was quite nice, the flavours were interesting and I did get a nice, slow transition of flavour from palate to finish but all in all this whisky was just too potent for me and I feel it detracted from the taste.
