A rye whiskey in the Pennsylvania style, this "carries a famous old Philadelphia name". Very tasty and aromatic.
Dried fruits and soft spices. Cocoa and butterscotch, alongside orange peel, cinnamon and caramel.
Thick, fruity palate with chocolate oranges, cassia bark, nutmeg and oak.
Tangy fruit and quite coppery. Marmalade and spice.
£5.50 - £50.95
100 proof bottled in bond Rye that tastes really good! I have drunk many bottles it’s the real deal. Tasted great straight up too!
Thought I'd give this a try as I enjoy rye. I wasn't disappointed, apart from the fact that it disappeared far too quickly!! Very nice and well worth the money and would definitely get another bottle.
This Rye Whiskey is perhaps the best I’ve tasted. Never mind all the claptrap about fruity, smoky, caramel and whatever else goes in the pot, this is now my benchmark for RYE whiskey. Rittenhouse makes sipping too easy, but no complaints from me in darkest Wiltshire.
Bought a sample ti try a rye whiskey. Not my cup of tea. Gets 3 stars for nose, smoothness and mouth feel. Good length just awful flavour.
Straight up flavor! Spice and Carmel flavors with the typical whiskey heat! Yah, this is good whiskey! Nice but not crude! Just good a whiskey.
