A marvellous high-rye bourbon here from the Rabbit Hole Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky! This expression has been dubbed Heigold, inspired by a German stonecutter from the 1800s who settled in Louisville. The whiskey itself is made from a mash bill of 70% corn, 25% malted German rye, and 5% malted barley. After distillation, it's matured in slowly toasted and charred barrels, and eventually bottled up at 47.5% ABV.
Warming cinnamon and caramel, with a hint of Jamaican Ginger Cake underneath.
Thick vanilla pods, dry oak, peppercorn and more cinnamon bringing spiciness.
A smidge of citrus appears through the toffee and toasted spices.

Amazing bourbon love the rye, brilliant finish...just ordered another
One of the best bourbon I have ever consumed. Normally I drink single malt, but this bourbon amazed me. I feel cardamom too. Very special.
Purchased as I like the occasional old fashioned, very flavourful and a little goes a long way. One of the best bourbons I've tasted.
This is literally the best bourbon I have ever tasted - it has easily become my favourite. It is smooth and silky and just beautiful from start to finish.
This is absolutely delicious and would be one of my top-3 bottles of whisky(ey), if I only had 3! Better than all the under-40 quid bourbons, in my opinion, and even better than 1792, which is pretty good already! Lovely stuff.
