This single malt hails from the Pulteney distillery up in the Highlands, and makes an impressive addition to Gordon & MacPhail's independent Connoisseurs Choice range. Matured for 23 years in a single ex-bourbon cask between 1998 and 2022, a total of 243 bottles were released at 56.6% ABV.
A whiff of smoked sea salt, honeyed oats, currant buns, and chocolate peanuts.
Rich oak with aromatic tobacco, butterscotch, and woody vanilla in tow. Buttery barley remains bold at the core, with roasted nuts, and salted chocolate.
Herbal honey, candied citrus, salted almonds, finishing up with warming notes of spicy cedar.
