It’s excellent. Surprisingly sweet, a bit sharp for my taste, but leaves with an excellent warmth. At 73GBP per bottle, it’s a bargain.
This is beautiful whisky. It combines the maritime character that OP is known for with some nice sherry notes. Lots of dried fruit on the nose with an excellent mouth feel.
I loved the 12yo and tried the 15yo recently. I get this salted caramel tast and maritim notes, very enjoyable. Then the chocolate and chilli takes over. Not what I like the most, but hey, nothing is perfect right ? Still a very good whisky, but in this price range you can find better for sure. Like others it also reminds me the Springbank 15yo... Which is more complex and balanced, for what I know.
