    Single Malt

Port Ellen 40 Year Old 1979 - Private Collection (Gordon & MacPhail)

From the Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection, an indie bottling range reserved for incredibly special whiskies, comes an incredibly special whisky. This right here is a 40 year old single malt from the legendary Port Ellen Distillery on Islay! It was distilled back in 1979, and matured in a refill sherry puncheon for four decades, until it was bottled up at cask strength in 2019. An extremely impressive whisky, from a sorely-missed distillery, bottled up by an excellent independent bottler.
