Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt Welsh whisky that has been finished in Madeira wine casks. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, and the whisky is named after the nearby village of Penderyn.
The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.
Penderyn Madeira Finish is at the heart of the Penderyn range. A beautifully packaged Welsh whisky.
Sweet, medium body. Herbal, vanilla, sweetness, resin, sultanas, toast. Over-ripe grape.
Thick and sweet, spices, green, biscuity. Custard.
Fresh, crisp, spices and stem ginger.

Only one way to describe this whiskey.. AWFUL. In the 1970 my uncles garage used to smell of a mixture of Sandtex paint, Turps and two stroke petrol with oil (mixed for the Mercury 35HP outboard on his boat). Now I LOVE this smell, but I wouldn't want to drink anything that "tasted" like it, and Penderyn DOES. Yes it beings back happy memories, but it is nauseating to drink.
This whisky is great to begin with but I didn't drink it for 2 months and now it's terrible. Drink it up in one sitting and forget about it!!
Worst single malt I've ever had and at the price totally not worth it.
Very underaged whisky with lack of flavour . Good presentation doesn’t help unfortunately.
Simply beautiful... I was bought the tasking bottles with glass as a gift and was truly delighted with it. This nugget of Welsh gold has a nose of candied orange and lemon slices, toasted spices, herb garden, light vanilla, and the oils of finely shredded peel. On the palate, there’s toffee and orange cake, an array of tropical fruits with papaya and passion fruit sweetness, and a good thrust of pepper and clove, leaving just a hint of grated chocolate and cask char in a dry finish. If you like a strong but joyfully light tipple, this one's for you!
