Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt Welsh whisky that has been finished in Madeira wine casks. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, and the whisky is named after the nearby village of Penderyn.
The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.
Penderyn Madeira Finish is at the heart of the Penderyn range. A beautifully packaged Welsh whisky.
Sweet, medium body. Herbal, vanilla, sweetness, resin, sultanas, toast. Over-ripe grape.
Thick and sweet, spices, green, biscuity. Custard.
Fresh, crisp, spices and stem ginger.

Certainly not to my taste - I enjoy many single malts, but this one is worse than a cheap value blend - tastes like a mix between paint thinners and fuel - with an overly sweet after taste - some of their whiskys are good, but this one and expensive shelf space filler in a cheap bottle
WOW and wow again - I am in South Africa - if I could afford it, it would become my nightly *((knightly applies here)tipple
Picked this up last week in the UK on my way back to NY. I really love it.
For those of you who enjoy a good grappa, you will enjoy this unusual single malt. It has a distinctive nose reminiscent of grappa and a hot mouth-feel with honey and vanilla finish.
A real strong attack in the mouth, my eyebrows fell down and I can't ear anything since, but the pleasure is there after this spicy start and the taste lasts several minuts (3-4 caudalies) : to me a good rendering of wales : Strong and so rich of sensations. A great experience ( except for my eyebrows)
