Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt Welsh whisky that has been finished in Madeira wine casks. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, and the whisky is named after the nearby village of Penderyn.
The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.
Penderyn Madeira Finish is at the heart of the Penderyn range. A beautifully packaged Welsh whisky.
Sweet, medium body. Herbal, vanilla, sweetness, resin, sultanas, toast. Over-ripe grape.
Thick and sweet, spices, green, biscuity. Custard.
Fresh, crisp, spices and stem ginger.

Quite unique if a little abrasive. Enjoyable in the right mood but not a go-to.
Just fantastic..not like any other whisky except for Penderyn 'legend' which may even be more awesome? It seems from the previous comments that all the superlatives have been used..so suffice to say..it's brilliant!
I have received a sample from a friend. First time having a go at Penderyn Madeira Finish. I am pleasantly surprised, in that it's quite different from most of the scotch whisky I have had before. Definitely young, in my opinion but there is some complexity and it's easy drinking whisky for sure. I'd buy if it is on special somewhere.
A little medicinal early on the palate but sweetening to late vanilla tones. Not bad
unusual taste but very pleasant, needs water to really enjoy
