Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt Welsh whisky that has been finished in Madeira wine casks. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, and the whisky is named after the nearby village of Penderyn.
The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.
Penderyn Madeira Finish is at the heart of the Penderyn range. A beautifully packaged Welsh whisky.
Sweet, medium body. Herbal, vanilla, sweetness, resin, sultanas, toast. Over-ripe grape.
Thick and sweet, spices, green, biscuity. Custard.
Fresh, crisp, spices and stem ginger.

A really good whisky. I’m relatively new to whisky drinking but have tried a few from Penderyn the Madeira finish is a great whisky and very moreish. The sherrywood is also excellent but I’d give the bland legend a miss.
I have two bottles a year (I've kept every box and empty bottle for many years) but I must admit the new bottles must taint the whisky as it does taste different. It changed slightly different when the 'Finish' was added to the bottle but not as much as this time. I think with just Madeira it tasted a lot, lot better.
I won’t beat about the bush using pretentious terms in an attempt to indicate sophisticated expert analysis. I’m just a person who enjoys an occasional tipple, and this wasn’t one. Sorry and all that, but it was harsh with no great flavour. Perhaps it’s just too young.
Don't try to hide what you are. If you don't like this it's not for you but if, like me, you love it, then fine, accept what you have found! This is just great, what a gorgeous honey flavour with fruit and relaxation! You taste the difference. I love Talisker and Laphroaig and I love Penderyn, what a wonderful world. Well done Wales!
Tuath glass showing moderately intense notes of round sweet port wine - dried figs and raisins. The palate is creamy with dry notes of light fig and raisin. Hints of sweet raisin on the finish. There seems to be a light bitterness that masks the flavors. Feels it could have used a bit more time in the barrel.
