Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt Welsh whisky that has been finished in Madeira wine casks. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, and the whisky is named after the nearby village of Penderyn.
The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.
Penderyn Madeira Finish is at the heart of the Penderyn range. A beautifully packaged Welsh whisky.
Sweet, medium body. Herbal, vanilla, sweetness, resin, sultanas, toast. Over-ripe grape.
Thick and sweet, spices, green, biscuity. Custard.
Fresh, crisp, spices and stem ginger.
Fantastic. Really good flavours. Smooth, warm and such a delight to sip
Gorgeous. Such a beautiful warm, smooth, full, fruity (peach?) flavour with noticeable madeira overtones. Definitely one of the best whiskies I've tasted.
Bloody marvellous!! I’m not an expert on Single Malts as I’m more of a bourbon drinker but this is lovely. Forget the tasting notes cos they mean absolutely nothing. This is a very nice whiskey, sit back, plop in an ice cube and enjoy it. Maybe with a nice Montecristo.
A young piercing but delicately sweet whisky with a distinctive and very unique tasting profile. Vanilla, custard, digestives, and hints of butterscotch. I go back to this time and time again as it is different from your typical scotch single malt and acts as a kind of palette refresh. The Faraday stills used in the production, in my opinion, make this a very unique experience. Naturally presented, no colourant, and very light if any filtering. Labelled as non-chill filtered. Superb whisky for the money.
Tastes a little young, but has a pleasant interesting flavour; tasting notes always seem weird to me... it tastes like whisky! At 46ABV, a little water brings out the flavour and softens the alcohol-hit. Overall, it's a good but not outstanding product.
