Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt Welsh whisky that has been finished in Madeira wine casks. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, and the whisky is named after the nearby village of Penderyn.
The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.
Penderyn Madeira Finish is at the heart of the Penderyn range. A beautifully packaged Welsh whisky.
Sweet, medium body. Herbal, vanilla, sweetness, resin, sultanas, toast. Over-ripe grape.
Thick and sweet, spices, green, biscuity. Custard.
Fresh, crisp, spices and stem ginger.

Not wanting to be a Scotch snob I thought I'd try this when it came up on offer. I thought it had a very strong acetone aftertaste which overshone the subtle flavour. I ended up mixing it with Ginger Ale to finish it off, but others like it so worth a try.
Superb introduction to wisgi drinking, absolutely superb.
This whisky is in a word - perfect. This is the most delicious whisky that I have ever tried.
We, on the other hand, couldn't stand it! Came last out of 10 on our recent (blind) tasting. Too much Raki and Saki overtones (mixed with raisins) for our palates... but, hey, it was popular for the tasting because everyone agreed it was the least appealing! Have a go - sounds like a love it or hate it thing.
The Welsh have cracked it! A very pallatable smooth whisky, one of which newcomers to the whisky world would thoroughly enjoy, an excellent entry level drink. The hardened whiskey connoisseur may find it a little new but very refreshing, it's a rewarding, very drinkable evening snifter and we love it.
