Penderyn Madeira Finish is a single malt Welsh whisky that has been finished in Madeira wine casks. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, and the whisky is named after the nearby village of Penderyn.
The Penderyn Madeira Finish has a light golden colour and a nose of citrus, honey, and oak. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon, and honey. The finish is long and lingering, with a touch of spice.
Penderyn Madeira Finish is at the heart of the Penderyn range. A beautifully packaged Welsh whisky.
Sweet, medium body. Herbal, vanilla, sweetness, resin, sultanas, toast. Over-ripe grape.
Thick and sweet, spices, green, biscuity. Custard.
Fresh, crisp, spices and stem ginger.
I was expecting something truly dreadful. Not at all. Very sweet though
I didn't like it. It takes a lot of water to tame the alcohol hit. There's very little nose and virtually no taste, either way. It's not sweet, it's not peaty. What is is it?
Love it Tastes like nothing else and the sweetness is what does it for me , think of it as a drink in its own category rather than comparing to everything else out there !! A dragon amongst sheeple !!!!
I compared it with my well liked scotch single malts aberlour, singleton . It is very different and not my taste at all.I found it tasted like chemicals and was unimpressed.
Might use it to light a bonfire. Of all the single malts this is the worst I’ve had. It’s too young and not at all enjoyable.
