Penderyn Legend is a Welsh single malt whisky firstly matured in bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Madeira casks before it's bottled, imparting an intriguing touch of vibrant sweetness. It has been bottled at 41% ABV, slightly lower than the Welsh distillers' other Madeira-cask-finished single malt.

I felt a chemical smell from the off and it carried on in the taste I persevered and its not offensive but I know I can get better for the money. A little water does improve the whisky
As another reviewer has said, i would not have believed this was a Malt. On the nose, harsh, volatile. On the palate, harsh again, unrefined, chemical lacking a distinct charachter. I struggled to like this, but having bought 2 bottles on special, offer, I am mightily disapointed. On a blind taste I doubt if anyone would belibe that this is a supposed premium whisky. Tastes like a cheap belnd, very cheap. Sorry.
Very disappointing. Would not believe this was a malt whisky unless the label said so.
A creamy, smooth, clear whisky that is unbeatable in terms of taste and uniqueness.
Very good taste and nose, it lingered on the back of my tongue to prolong the flavour and for me had an intriguing spicyness. I had a glass with a nice spicy chili and I could not decide if the food enhanced the whisky, or the whisky enhanced food.
