The second batch of Welsh single malt whisky from Penderyn independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company has arrived as part of the Home Nations Series! The label hints at a bit of family heritage at the distillery – the still was designed by Dr. David Faraday, relative of legendary inventor Michael Faraday! Yes, the one who made the Faraday Cage! Very cool stuff, particularly if you think electricity is neat (it is).
Batch 2 is a release of 476 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Strawberries and cream, with a touch of cut grass herbaceousness.
Red grapes and yellow plums, with apricot jam swirling around in there too.
Victoria sponge cake and orange peel.
Fruit heaven. Pure peach juice. Absolutely delicious whisky.
