Mystery Islay single malt here, independently bottled by North Star Spirits. This was aged for 8 years and finished in a pair of Sherry octave casks before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 230 bottles.
Earthy/moss-y at first, with hints of coastal smoke and chocolate mousse.
Fruitier on the palate, with dried fruit and apricot. Sweet peat notes develop.
Touches of charred oak last.
