Chaos - Batch 001 (North Star Spirits)
An Islay single malt from North Star Spirits, dubbed Chaos after the star of the same name, though it tastes like anything but! It blends together two Caol Ila malts, with a pair of 2010 vintage Pedro Ximénez casks married with a single 2009 vintage hogshead. The trio of casks were bottled at 50% ABV, with a release of 1,200 bottles.

Nose
Candied ginger, earthy peat and orange oil, with hints of toasty oak.
Palate
A smidge of tart fruit and a good dose of peat smoke, with citrus peels and praline.
Finish
Orange marmalade and charred oak.
