Back in September 1991, the folks at North British set about distilling this glorious single grain Scotch whisky! It was filled into a single refill sherry butt where it remained for the next three decades. Finally, in January 2022, the gang at indie bottler Signatory cracked open the cask, releasing an outturn of 494 bottles for the Cask Strength Collection.
Honeyed granola, apple tart, a whiff of vanilla, and buttered popcorn.
Floral honey and sweet orchard fruit crumble with toasted cereal topping and dustings of brown sugar. Hints of grassy oak beneath.
Diced nuts and baking spices, with butterscotch balancing peppery heat.
