The award-winning Nikka Whisky From The Barrel blend is absolutely full of flavour. Bottled at 51.4% ABV. The blend combines both single malt and grain whisky, the majority of which comes from from the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries. A huge depth of flavour in this stunning whisky from Japan. We can't recommend this enough.
Medium-body with good balance. There are notes of cut flowers and fresh fruits, spice, and a little oak.
Full-bodied and punchy. There is plenty of winter spice and toffee, a little caramel and vanilla, and a good mouthful of fruit.
Long, warming and fruity with a little oaken spice.

Thank goodness that it's only a 50cl bottle! It is strong BUT this is something to give at parties to get unwanted guests to leave
Haven’t tasted many Japanese whisky and not much into blended but this was a great surprise. It is among my favorites now
It is the first Japanese whisky I tried. Actually, it is also the first blend i have bought. I am a big fan of Islay whisky, complex and peaty, like Lagavulin. I must say, even it is a totally different taste, that kicks ass ! Simply amazing: fruity, spicy, no bitterness at all and a very long and complex finish with caramel and vanilla on top. My goodness ! 5 stars.
We brought a bottle back from Nakasu (Fukuoka) about 3 weeks ago, on a gamble really, and shared it with our ohana the following weekend - what a tremendous surprise! it was loved by all and quickly disappeared. Most of this group is much more experienced with diverse and expensive whiskies than myself so I won't try to describe the taste, although someone said it was "sweet". All I know is I'll be buying a lot more of it, now that I know just how good it is! a real bargain too.
Thick dense and tasty
