The award-winning Nikka Whisky From The Barrel blend is absolutely full of flavour. Bottled at 51.4% ABV. The blend combines both single malt and grain whisky, the majority of which comes from from the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries. A huge depth of flavour in this stunning whisky from Japan. We can't recommend this enough.
Medium-body with good balance. There are notes of cut flowers and fresh fruits, spice, and a little oak.
Full-bodied and punchy. There is plenty of winter spice and toffee, a little caramel and vanilla, and a good mouthful of fruit.
Long, warming and fruity with a little oaken spice.
Very pleasant, plenty of flavour. Great introduction to Japanese whiskey
From an extremely biased (Scotch) whiskey drinker who would NEVER have bought Whiskey from any other country than Scotland or the USA.. My son bought me a bottle for Christmas, I was completely surprised and frankly blown away ,by the complexity and depth of flavour, from caramel, to a slight, peaty smokiness with (to my nose) citrus in between. I drink it with a large cube of ice and a little water. Highly recommended.
Not a bad whisky for sure, but beyond the basic sweet and slightly smoky tones it leaves something to be desired. Still, a pretty decent whisky.
Very underrated. Folks who can’t handle 51 should avoid. If you’re curious though, I would pour it over a block of ice in a chilled glass to dilute. Excellent whisky, full bodied with a long after taste. Great sip for long winter nights.
This is a very nice whisky, I can recommend this
